2 years ago, while just beginning to get back into collecting Star Wars action figures, I stumbled upon the Yakface forums with their Yakfinities contests. I saw that the winners got free figures, and decided to make an entry. What started as a way to get free figures is now the way that I spend almost all of my free time, though recently I have started miniature painting as a secondary hobby.
One of the worst things about starting to customize, and I am sure I am not the only one who had trouble with this, was the lack of good resources or, if they did exist, the difficulty in finding them. My main goal with this site is to create an extensive customizing resource with guides ranging from basic supplies and how to use them to more advanced techniques. One of the things I am most excited to do is an extensive paint test to figure out which brands are the best for customizing. I have almost 70 different brands to test, so I'll be posting the results from those for a while.
While I primarily work in 3.75 inch scale, anything I post should translate well to larger scales. I've been wanting to start this for a while, and I hope that I am able to help novices and pros alike.
